Chris Duffy (Managing Director)

Chris Duffy joined Fendor Hansen as MD in 2002. Chris’ career in the construction industry spans 35 years. Before joining Fendor, Chris was MD of Northern Europe for USG Interiors. He led a management buyout of Fendor in December 2006, and began a period of significant investment in capital equipment, staff training and R&D. Chris is committed to building Fendor’s reputation as pioneers in glazing based on research and development, as well as technical competence and high levels of service.

Jason Davidson (Technical Sales Director)

Jason began his career in the building trade nearly 25 years ago working for an aluminium fabrication company. He progressed to the drawing office, joining Fendor in 1988. Jason moved into sales in 2000 and was promoted to Technical Sales Director in 2008. Jason is responsible for leading the both the sales and technical teams at Fendor and helps to oversee product development.

Andy Vinton (Contracts Director)

Andy Vinton joined Fendor in 1993 as an estimator before moving to the Contracts Department in 1997. He took up the position of Contracts Director in 2008 and has overall responsibility for all site based operations. Andy’s career in the construction industry spans 28 years. He spent the first five years of his career as an architectural technician before moving into the specialist glazing industry as a draughtsman for 6 years prior to joining Fendor.

Phil Coulson (Project Director)

Phil’s early qualifications in Building Studies led to a career as a project draughtsman. Phil joined Fendor from a rival specialist glazing company in 1993 having gained several years experience in design related work, and was promoted to Drawing Office Manager in 2000. Phil is now Project Director with responsibility for overseeing the critical interface between design and production.

George Statt (Estimating Manager)

George’s career in the construction industry spans 27 years. He has worked in the glazing industry for over 20 years, gaining vast experience as an estimator. George Statt joined Fendor in 1992, overseeing the estimating team, his knowledge and understanding of glazing systems is unparalleled.

Craig Curry (Production Operations Manager)

Craig began his career as a Structural Draughtsman in the Offshore industry before moving into Architectural Aluminium, where he worked as a Project Draughtsman, Project Manager, Contracts Manager and Company Director before moving into Production Management in 2005. With a strong design background, Craig has an in-depth knowledge of the Aluminium Industry complimented by  qualifications and experience in Steel Fabrication and Marine Engineering. Craig is using his experience to augment production processes at Fendor with the aim to further improve quality and efficient and green methods of working.

Martin Smith (Technical Manager)

Martin’s career began as an architectural metalworker, before moving to the estimating department in 2005. He joined Fendor in 2007 as Technical Manager, his versatile background and understanding of the manufacturing process is key to the technical and research and development competence that underpins Fendor’s unique product portfolio.

Derek Quinn (Technical Manager - Blast and Ballistic Division)

Derek Quinn has joined Fendor Blast and Ballistic Division from Pensher SkyTech.

In 1990, he became Sales Manager and Marketing for Pensher Security Doors Ltd after completing his university education. His Research and Product Development background meant that with the acquisition of Skytech,  Derek’s knowledge underpinned the development of blast and security products for international projects including Heathrow’s Terminal 5, the Canadian Embassy in   Afghanistan  as well as a  petrochemical installation in Singapore, amongst others. Derek is a very welcome additon to  Fendor's technical team, adding his knowledge of blast resistant doors and windows.

Fendor Appointments

Fendor is delighted to announce the appointment of several new team members.

Nicola Young joins us as Project Coordinator, a new role for Fendor.  Nicola’s remit is to strengthen inter departments coordination and to drive improvement throughout Fendor, drawing on her experience gained in defence and IT contracts. With their extensive construction experience, Rod Glover and Nigel Crompton bring a fresh approach to installation and together with Andy Vinton and Nicola, will improve our service to site.

Gerhard Putz joins us as Stores Manager, his background is in logistics and stores management for the RAF and most recently commercial aviation manufacturers. Last but not least, Jo Graham and Sarah Lanaghan are the new faces in Purchasing.
