European Patent Granted for SecureLine

Fendor Ltd has been granted a European Patent for their SecureLine high security window glazing system. The unique way in which the system is glazed allows a sacrificial layer of glazing (polycarbonate, PC Glass, laminated glass etc.) to be used to the attack side of the window. As well as the sacrificial glazing acting as a secure barrier, it protects the double glazed unit, which is used to obtain the required U vales for Approved Document L in England and Wales, and part J in Scotland. In the event of a severe attack however, the system allows easy access by maintenance staff to the damaged sacrificial glazing so that it can be replaced very quickly, easily and cheaply with minimal disruption.

The SecureLine system is available in an opening, restricted opening or fixed orientation and can be glazed with any type of security glass.

Both the restricted opening and fixed windows have been tested to the LPS 1175 test standard carried out by BRE in Watford and achieved a security rating of SR3 and SR4 respectively. Please refer to LPS 1175 standard for more specific information on security ratings. www.brecertification.co.uk/lps.jsp

Doors and facades are also available as part of the SecureLine range.
